It was definitely a great refresher right before the new book comes out soon! The artwork was very beautiful with bonus scenes and excerpts for both series. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">This book had so many Easter eggs!! It was definitely helpful as it plays a key in Jen's other series. I loved how the book gave us a history of the world and the characters within the worlds and the connection with each character. From the details with Poppy, different kind of Acension's you can definitely see the world JLA has constructed clearly in the novels. The character summaries were the most interesting to see. You will be shocked! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The artwork was also beautiful! I would say it was one of my favourite things to see. To Sera, Poppy, the Blood forest and so many more! I especially loved reading the bonus scene of Poppy and Cas. It made my heart happy to see them again! The diary entries of Miss Willa were so steamy! I can see why Cas wanted to say them out loud to annoy Poppy haha. Each part of this book was so much fun to read! If you need that reread I would most definitely pick this one up as it was amazing! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4.5/5</b></div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-51280172697713747202023-11-01T22:19:00.011-04:002023-11-06T22:41:47.850-05:00A Fire in the Flesh (Flesh and Fire #3) by Jennifer L. I would say that Jen definitely had me shocked a few times while reading because I did not expect that to happen. It was impossible to put the book down at times! I love the way this series is tying into the From Blood and Ash series so well that I already need the next book.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Sera is a fighter and I love that about her. She is a force to be reckoned with and no one will tear her and Nyktos apart. She is now captured by Kolis and his cruelty towards her definitely leaves her shaken. I know I would be. Reading this felt heart-breaking as you are learning what is happening to her, but at the same time rooting for her when she starts to make weapons to fight to get out of his control. There were many questions answered in AFITF and BIG reveals and there is lots of foreshadowing! That is all I'm going to say! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Now lets talk about Ash/Nyktos. I love how well he treats Sera with so much respect and love. I love him even more now than I did before! He takes care of Sera and each moment they are together makes me want to reread the series! Ash is great Book Boyfriend material as it slowly matches Cas' in the From Blood and Ash series. Jen just writes us beautiful men that I will always obsess over! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">A Fire in the Flesh finishes perfectly. I had a smile on my face while reading because I loved it so much! I definitely recommend this series ! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>5/5</b></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-84360807353937773712023-09-11T22:46:00.002-04:002023-09-14T17:38:45.333-04:00Fall of Ruin and Wrath (Awakening #1) by Jennifer L. When I heard that she was starting a new series I knew I had to get a copy for review! As always Jen blew this one out of the water and I completely devoured it. If you love her series <i>From Blood and Ash </i>you will definitely need to pick up <i>Fall of Ruin and Wrath</i>. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>Fall of Ruin and Wrath</i> starts with us meeting Calista who has an intuition that never fails her and the ability to see some of the future. I really liked Calista. She is funny and a total badass. She is a relatable character who will protect her friends. One thing you need to know is that in her world is ruled by the Baron and they work for the Highborn King. The world they live in was once ruled by the gods. There was so many conspiracies that it will definitely throw you in a loop. To avoid danger for herself and her friend Grady she starts to work for the Baron to get him information. Another thing to know is that the Highborn do feed on pleasure that it is common for those who need to feed. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thorne is another character who definitely reminded me of JLA's past male leads. He is so morally grey, but he is no good guy but I really did enjoy his character development throughout the book. I had a feeling I was going to love him. But I feel like any male lead Jen writes I'm going to fall in love with. <i>Fall of Wrath and Ruin </i>is a Romantasy that has spice and went perfectly with the world building that Jen has created. It had a strong plot to go with it. I'm already obsessed with this book. You will not be disappointed, it was hands down one of my favourite books of this year and has entered as one of the top books Jen has written. I can't express enough that you need to go get it immediately. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5/5</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-35547960661644003452023-07-21T00:10:00.000-04:002023-07-21T00:10:05.414-04:00A Soul of Ash and Blood (Blood and Ash #5) by Jennifer L. While I may have cried at the beginning, there were many surprises throughout the entire book. I loved reading his point of view. The draken were hilarious and I loved that they would tell you the truth. Then we were taken back to before he met Poppy. JLA does an amazing job with immersing us into her world and I felt that through Cas' eyes that it was entertaining and everything that I could've imagined from reading it from his POV. I really loved his personality and how he sees himself as his own enemy or even a saviour with Poppy. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: red;">A Soul of Ash and Blood will have you falling in love with the series again. When I heard about this book I knew I had to get a hold of it. Even after hearing about the hype I had a feeling it was going to be an amazing ride. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;">Rebecca Yarros is an excellent storyteller because right from the start I was hooked. Fourth Wing was fast paced and you won't even realize how fast you are reading until you are done. After finishing this epic fantasy it will consume your thoughts and become one of your favourite books. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;">Violet Sorrengail is one of those characters who is smart, cunning and 100% brave throughout the book. Even though she was destined to be in the Scribe Quadrant, her mother changed everything. Her mother is the commanding general to forced her to enter Basgiath War College to become a Dragon Rider. There are so many trials she has to face or die trying. I was on the edge of my seat while reading parts of it! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;">Now onto Xaden Riorson. From the moment you meet him you can feel the tension between them. While he may be Violet's enemy because of the rebellion that his dad lead, there is so much more to learn about him while reading. I felt a little obsessed thinking about him as well. The banter was perfect and I was anxiously waiting until that moment and it did not disappoint! I love a good enemies to lovers and those steamy scenes!! :O </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444; font-size: medium;">The world building was definitely amazing. As you are reading be sure to pay attention to the detail! Even if your mind is busy thinking about Xaden. Now onto the Dragons. They definitely stole the show and I loved the conversations between Violet and Tarin. I loved all the relationships Violet forms with her wing, I may have cried during one scene! To the dragons, sparring, political and historical scenes this book had me in a chokehold as it was beyond addictive! As always I absolutely fell in love with this book. Who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers set in a small town set in the world of Polson Falls. While I did love Justine in the first book I think I love her even more when it was her point of view. It was the perfect romance to start of the year for me as looking for love in my small town is already hard. So after finishing this I have a little more hope. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I absolutely fell in love with Garrett and their romance. Right from the start their flirting and banter was perfection. Add in the funny scenes and it made it even better! Garrett is definitely her match because they are both very similar. Their chemistry was so good! K.A. Tucker is one of my favourite authors and I felt that she pulled this one together so well! Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I do hope there will be more in the series! </div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div style="text-align: center;">4.5/5</div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-44725845996705988922022-11-14T22:59:00.001-05:002022-11-14T22:59:05.490-05:00A Light in the Flame (Flesh and Fire #2) by Jennifer L. Surrounded by those distrustful of her, all Sera has is her duty. She will do anything to end Kolis, the false King of Gods, and his tyrannical rule of Iliseeum, thus stopping the threat he poses to the mortal realm.</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box; caret-color: rgb(30, 25, 21); color: #1e1915; font-family: "Proxima Nova", Montserrat, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="box-sizing: border-box; caret-color: rgb(30, 25, 21); color: #1e1915; font-family: "Proxima Nova", Montserrat, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; margin: 0px;" /><span style="caret-color: rgb(30, 25, 21); color: #1e1915; font-family: "Proxima Nova", Montserrat, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">Nyktos has a plan, though, and as they work together, the last thing they need is the undeniable, scorching passion that continues to ignite between them. Sera cannot afford to fall for the tortured Primal, not when a life no longer bound to a destiny she never wanted is more attainable than ever. But memories of their shared pleasure and unrivaled desire are a siren’s call impossible to resist.</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box; caret-color: rgb(30, 25, 21); color: #1e1915; font-family: "Proxima Nova", Montserrat, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; margin: 0px;" /><br style="box-sizing: border-box; caret-color: rgb(30, 25, 21); color: #1e1915; font-family: "Proxima Nova", Montserrat, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; margin: 0px;" /><span style="caret-color: rgb(30, 25, 21); color: #1e1915; font-family: "Proxima Nova", Montserrat, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">And as Sera begins to realize that she wants to be more than a Consort in name only, the danger surrounding them intensifies. The attacks on the Shadowlands are increasing, and when Kolis summons them to Court, a whole new risk becomes apparent. The Primal power of Life is growing inside her, pushing her closer to the end of her Culling. And without Nyktos’s love—an emotion he’s incapable of feeling—she won’t survive her Ascension. That is if she even makes it to her Ascension and Kolis doesn’t get to her first. Because time is running out. For both her and the realms.</span></span></div><div><br /></div><div><b><span style="color: #20124d;">Review: </span></b></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;">I've been reviewing Jen's books for a long time and have been a huge fan! After all these years I would say this definitely would be one of my favourite books she has written. This prequel series in my opinion is top tier writing and her characters are ones you can connect too emotionally. I've been thinking over the past few weeks after I finished reading how to write this review. I was speechless. I needed a lot of tissues.</span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;">A Light in the Flames picks up right where we left off in An Ember in the Ashes, after it was revealed who she actually is and her purpose. Even though her plan to kill Nyktos falls through, she thinks back that she was brought up to become a weapon. Now no one trusts her. Sera's character development throughout this book was phenomenal. Even when I was reading I had to grab a Kleenex box. </span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;">Not only was the plot amazing and was set at a good pace that was not the only thing it focused on. Mental health is very important to discuss and we see it in Sera who we see has anxiety. I can definitely feel the same way as her as lately I have been dealing with anxiety over the years. This book portrays it perfectly. Oh and the romance was top tier. I love Nyktos! Even though I love Poppy and Cas, these two, Sera and Nyktos are high up there as well as one of my favourite couples. </span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;">I can say it a million times and I will continue to say it but, Jennifer L. Armentrout this is your best yet and this book will have many people feel like they are on an emotional rollercoaster. If you haven't picked up this prequel series yet I recommend you do! It has romance, dragons, action and spice. Did I mention dragons! Happy Reading! </span></div><div><span style="color: #20124d;"><br /></span></div><div><b><span style="color: #20124d;">5/5</span></b></div>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-90396200385308694042022-07-17T23:39:00.005-04:002022-07-17T23:39:58.997-04:00A Curse of Blood & Stone (Fate & Flame #2) by K.A. It was better than the first one and I devoured this book. If you are looking for an amazing fantasy this is the book you need to pick up! The book picks up where we left off when Romy and Zander fleeing Cirilea and has now become a traitor. Now to figure out how to get Zander back on the throne and what is going to happen to her in the process despite the bounty on her head. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The world building in this series is very compelling and a lot of amazing characters. Zander wants to protect Romy through the entire journey but there was a lot of things happening that kept me wanting to read more! Now on to the romance, it was everything! I think I love Zander even more now and so much tension between Romy and him. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">This sequel was amazing!If you are a big fan of From Blood and Ash you definitely need to pick up this series! I loved seeing more of the world building as well as character growth throughout the entire novel. I'm already eagerly waiting until book three comes out. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4.5/5</b></div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-86131602214794768442022-03-14T23:32:00.003-04:002022-03-14T23:32:49.137-04:00The War of Two Queens (Blood and Ash #4) by Jennifer L. I feel like my mind is blown into many pieces after reading it. This book is a masterpiece. If you have read my reviews in the past you would know I'm a huge fan of Jen's since 2011. Her writing since has made me addicted to read anything she will write because they are all amazing. She has out done herself with this one because I would give her a standing ovation. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><i>The War of Two Queens</i> is the fourth book in the Blood and Ash series and it has so many twists and turns that you won't expect. Poppy's family tree is definitely the most intriguing as well as many other characters we start to get to know better. I would recommend you read A Shadow in the Ember before reading this. There is very important information that you will need to know. So go pick it up! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">One thing I did love in this one was Poppy and Cas. I will always enjoy reading about them and the things that Casteel says will make you swoon. I was definitely highlighting as I was reading because the information was so important because while we love the romance, this one was plot driven and I loved learning everything along with Poppy. JLA's character development was phenomenal, these characters have gone through so much especially Poppy as she is coming into her powers in each book. She is a total badass even as a Queen. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This book was absolutely epic! I'm already looking forward to the fifth book and the next Flesh and Fire book! Thank you Jen for allowing me to review all of your amazing books. I cannot wait to see what will happen! If you haven't started this series yet, go do it immediately! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: large;">5/5</span></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p></div>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-34399681571290285642022-01-24T22:35:00.001-05:002022-01-24T22:38:46.525-05:00Running Wild (Wild #3) by K.A. I absolutely loved reading this book. Couldn't put it down after the first page. K.A. Tucker has done it again at making me fall in love with her characters and the Alaskan wilderness scenery. Plus we got to see more of Calla and Jonah updates since we last saw them in the novella. You can definitely bet I will be buying the paperback when it comes out because it was amazing! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I felt so many butterflies when I heard that Marie would be getting her own story after her own heartbreak of not being with Jonah, but I will say Tyler definitely made up for it. How can you not fall in love with this man. Firstly, he is handsome and arrogant, truly is there for his friends, truck scene, and he loves dogs and is a competitive dog musher. The tension between these two was through the roof during some scenes that you had to continue reading their story! Don't worry Jonah I still love you! But he is high up on that list for me now! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Getting to know Marie was definitely the best part because you see Cory who works with Marie at the office who is hilarious and to finally see the story Marie deserves to be happy. Marie's family dynamic sounds almost exactly like my own family. I learnt so much from this book about dog racing and seeing how she felt as the third wheel with Calla and Jonah. After that amazing ending I was already wishing for another book!! If you loved Calla's story you will fall in love with this one as well! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Complimentary copy provided for honest review. Chosen. Consort. Assassin. Weapon. A specter never fully formed yet drenched in blood. A monster. Until him. Until the Primal of Death’s unexpected words and deeds chase away the darkness gathering inside her. And his seductive touch ignites a passion she’s never allowed herself to feel and cannot feel for him. But Sera has never had a choice. Either way, her life is forfeit—it always has been, as she has been forever touched by Life and Death.</span></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="color: #0d0d0d; font-size: medium;">Review: </span></b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;">Where do I start, as I'm still feeling all the emotions after finishing this book. Only Jennifer L. Armentrout knows how to deliver an amazing companion novel to the Blood and Ash series. But be prepared to be hooked with amazing characters and a lot of intrigue! Move over Cas and Kieran because Nyktos has now taken over and has become one of my favourite book boyfriends along with them. I'm already looking forward to what will happen next after that ending! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;">Set in the same world as From Blood and Ash series, <i>A Shadow in the Ember</i> follows Sera who is the Maiden. I would say Sera is definitely one of my favourite characters because she is very similar to Poppy in many ways. Sera was the Maiden and was chosen from birth to offer herself to the Primal of Death as his Consort. She trained and sacrificed herself for her kingdom to make the Primal fall in love with her and then kill him. This is such a magical world with so many secrets, that we are just beginning to find out! There is some very steamy and swoony moments that you will fall in love with Ash most of the book. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;">I hope everyone loves this book as much as I did because you definitely get so invested in this series that you have to pay attention to every detail. I've been a huge JLA fan for a decade and all her books have blown me away because they are so addicting with really well created characters. Sera is definitely on that list. I'm not going to forget mentioning Nyktos because I really enjoyed him. I found he was really sweet and so swoony. Plus the banter between him and Sera was so great, even if he is the Primal of Death. He is for sure a rival with Aiden and Cas.</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><i>A Shadow in the Ember</i> was perfection! It had the perfect balance of romance and action. It was a slow burn romance which I felt was the right fit for both Sera and Nyktos. I loved every minute of reading their story. Also that ending was OMG, so I will be patiently waiting until the next book comes out which will probably be after reading <i>The War of Two Queens</i> in March. </span><span style="caret-color: rgb(13, 13, 13); color: #0d0d0d;">Thank you Jen for allowing me to review this because it was by far one of my top favourites. </span><span style="color: #0d0d0d;">Be sure to grab this amazing book because you won't be able to put it down!! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #0d0d0d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>5/5</b></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-30540291490527055892021-06-01T13:24:00.002-04:002021-06-01T13:24:52.343-04:00Grace and Glory (The Harbinger #3) by Jennifer L. Grace and Glory was the perfect conclusion to their story. I've always been a fan of Zayne's since White Hot Kiss and this series was no different. The excitement when I received an early copy of this book was over the moon because I needed to know what happened after Rage and Ruin. If anyone knows me, they know I'm a huge fan of Jen's for the past 10 years and Zayne is one of my favourites! Grace and Glory was written perfectly. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It immediately picks up right after Rage and Ruin, where we find that Zayne is back from the dead with wings .... ANGEL! Now there is more of a problem because with Zayne who has become an angel has a lot of complications for him and Trinity. Now it's definitely getting more interesting, but can they save the world from the Harbinger with war coming. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I absolutely loved this book. Being back into this world felt great! There were many twists and turns along the way, as well as many emotions. Zayne and Trinity's love story was told so beautifully. I will definitely be rereading this series again! Jen's writing as always was perfect and she always does a great job finishing up series. I'm very happy where the story ends for Zayne and Trinity. Let's hope there is going to be more from a different character set in this world! If you haven't picked up this series yet, I recommend you do! 100% worth the read!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>5/5</b></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div> <p></p><br /><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-20708678662351332622021-05-24T21:37:00.002-04:002021-05-24T21:47:17.934-04:00A Fate of Wrath & Flame by K.A. K.A. Tucker you have created a masterpiece with this one. Even after finishing <i>A Fate of Wrath & Flame</i>, I already wanted to read it again ! As I'm writing this review, I'm having a hard time writing this because I didn't want it to end. I've always loved K.A. Tucker's books and this has been no exception, I loved all the characters especially Romeria and King Zander. Plus its about one of my favourite genres of enemies to lovers. If you loved<i> From Blood and Ash</i>, you will fall in love with this book as well. Also very glad for a pronunciation guide.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #444444;">This story and world building is so well developed, I was so happy that K.A. Tucker has written another fantasy because she is a great author! You will really love Romeria, who is a mastered thief and is chosen to go to a different realm of opposing thrones and magic! She was such a fun character, that you can not help but go along for the ride. There were so many challenges for her throughout the entire book! I really loved how unique the story was, then throw in a beautiful slow-burn romance made me more consumed with the story. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #444444;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #444444;">Also the cover is gorgeous!! This book was phenomenal! That I'm still speechless after finishing the book that I wish that there were more pages. Jennifer L. Armentrout did not disappoint me again because the plot has definitely thickened and I'm seriously more in love with Cas. The words that came from him throughout the book were so swoony and wishing I had a man like that!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Throughout the entire book I enjoyed everything. Jen's world building was brilliant and its definitely important to reread the books because every piece of information is so important. Including the history of Atlantia and the Craven/Ascended & Nyktos. Poppy as character has grown so much as well. In FBAA, she was more timid and shy, but in ACOGB her confidence has grown so much. She is still asking questions and annoying Kieran. I had many moments through some of the book laughing during some scenes. Even though I still love Aiden from the Covenant series, I think Cas is slowly taking over. Sorry Aiden. Every word he says are just ugh!! I just love him. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>"No risk to too great, nor is anything too sacred. Because she is my everything. There is nothing greater than her, and I do mean nothing"-- Cas</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><br /></b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I was highlighting a lot of Casteel's quotes throughout the entire book especially after Chapter 37. Every detail is important with Jen's books so make sure to reread some scenes from previous books. More characters are introduced and some we see that are mentioned in previous books, as well as information on Ian. I'm already sensing a book hangover. Jen, I really need book 4 after that ending. Bow before your Queen!!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: medium;">5/5</span></b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><br /></b></div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-6397799064310473222021-03-24T12:40:00.005-04:002021-04-23T14:11:55.797-04:00The Crown of Gilded Bones Chapter 1 Preview! <!--wp:heading {"textAlign":"center","level":5}-->

<h4 class="has-text-align-center">CHAPTER ONE</h4>
<!--/wp:heading-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>“Lower your swords,” Queen Eloana commanded, her hair shining a glossy onyx in the sun as she sank onto one knee. The raw emotion pouring out of her seeped into the Temple floors of the Chambers of Nyktos, bitter and hot, tasting of anguish and a helpless sort of anger. It stretched out toward me, needling my skin and brushing against this…<em>primal</em> thing inside me. “And bow before the…before the <em>last</em> descendant of the most ancient ones. She who carries the blood of the King of Gods within her. Bow before your new Queen.”</p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p><em>The blood of the King of Gods? Your new Queen? </em>None of that made sense. Not her words or when she had removed her crown. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>A too-thin breath scorched my throat as I looked at the man standing beside the Queen of Atlantia. The crown was still upon the King’s golden-haired head, but the bones had remained a bleached white. Nothing like the gleaming, gilded one the Queen had placed at the feet of the statue of Nyktos. My gaze skipped over the terrible, broken things scattered about the once pristine, white floors. I’d done that to them, adding their blood to what had fallen from the sky, filling the thin fissures in the marble. I didn’t look at that or anyone else—every part of my being focused on <em>him</em>. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>He remained on one knee, staring up at me from between the vee of the swords he’d crossed over his chest. His damp hair, blue-black in the Atlantian sunlight, curled against the sandy-hued skin of his forehead. Red streaked those high, angular cheekbones, the proud curve of his jaw, and ran down lips that had once shattered my heart. Lips that had pieced those broken shards back together with the truth. Bright, golden eyes locked with mine, and even bowed before me, so motionless I wasn’t sure he breathed, he still reminded me of one of the wild and strikingly beautiful cave cats I’d once seen caged in Queen Ileana’s palace as a child. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>He had been many things to me. A stranger in a dimly lit room who’d been my first kiss. A guard who had sworn to lay down his life for mine. A friend who had looked beyond the veil of the Maiden to truly see me underneath, who’d handed me a sword to protect myself instead of forcing me into a gilded cage. A legend cloaked in darkness and nightmares that had plotted to betray me. A Prince of a kingdom believed to have been lost to time and war, who had suffered unimaginable horrors and yet managed to find the pieces of who he used to be. A brother who would do anything, commit any deed to save his family. His people. A man who bared his soul and stripped open his heart to me—and only me. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My first. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My guard.</p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My friend. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My betrayer. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My partner.</p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My husband. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My heartmate. </p>
<!--/wp:paragraph-->
<!--wp:paragraph-->
<p>My <em>everything</em>. </p>

I feel happiness and joy after finishing<i> Forever Wild.</i> I just want to reread the entire series because I loved it so much. Firstly, I would like to thank K.A. Tucker for inviting us into this world because if we didn't there would be no Calla and Jonah. Now every time I see a charter plane I will be wishing I had my own Yeti (Jonah). </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Once I heard that K.A. Tucker was writing this novella I knew it would be worth the wait. After reading <i>Wild at Heart</i> (#2), I was really hoping she would write their wedding and how they would celebrate it. There was so many laughs and swoony moments that will make you smile throughout the entire book.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><i>Forever Wild</i> is the perfect read during this time a year because it is set in beautiful Alaska, the characters are all relatable and getting a conclusion for Calla and Jonah was just perfect/full circle. Even Roy whose character has grown so much in these past two books. This book has made my year and I'm so happy to have read this entire series that K.A. Tucker has created in Trapper's Crossing and also tying in her father Wren which made me cry as I can connect to Calla so much. Also looking forward to that little information that was included at the back of the book :) </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><b><span style="font-size: medium;">5/5</span></b></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div style="text-align: left;"> </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-79582350637562218712020-11-19T08:49:00.003-05:002020-11-20T10:24:48.210-05:00Beach Read by Emily Henry <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" data-original-height="475" data-original-width="317" height="371" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiogw6zEvqWhqn5uvIcdejDVIr8NgGU6zLfJo_S4FNNHGvHZn7oUKdkUYxNedtPFxjZmHawcmT5leeIIuLNdW_TgkQLUTq94TI8zvvBVeUaT53WeYFt_m6l6_QEsOnNrZkUA1L0W_rWmQC/w248-h371/52867387._SY475_.jpg" width="248" /></div><span style="text-align: justify;"><b>Title:</b> Beach Read</span><div><b>Author:</b> Emily Henry<div style="text-align: left;"><b>Pages:</b> 361</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Publisher: </b>Berkley/Penguin Canada</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Genre</b>: Fiction/Romance</div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Release Date: </b>May 19, 2020 </div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Buy: </b><a href="https://www.amazon.ca/Beach-Read-Emily-Henry/dp/1984806734/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=beach+read&qid=1603283657&sr=8-2">Amazon</a>|<a href="https://www.kobo.com/ca/en/ebook/beach-read-1">Kobo</a>| <a href="https://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/beach-read/9781984806734-item.html?ikwid=beach+read&ikwsec=Home&ikwidx=0#algoliaQueryId=1811c040aa0f1e6286db975369d9d84d">Chapters Indigo</a> </div><div style="text-align: left;">*I received an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley for honest review* </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Summary</b> (<a href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/52867387-beach-read">Goodreads</a>) </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: #fff2cc;"><b style="caret-color: rgb(24, 24, 24); color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px;">A romance writer who no longer believes in love and a literary writer stuck in a rut engage in a summer-long challenge that may just upend everything they believe about happily ever afters.</b><br style="caret-color: rgb(24, 24, 24); color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px;" /><br style="caret-color: rgb(24, 24, 24); color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px;" /><span style="caret-color: rgb(24, 24, 24); color: #181818; font-family: Merriweather, Georgia, serif; font-size: 14px;">Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. From the beginning, I was immediately drawn into Emily Henry's world that she has created for these characters. I really am happy that I picked this book up. For a while I have been in a romance mood and this definitely fit the bill as you fall in love with each of the characters and connect with them. In some ways I connected with January as we both lost our father's and how loss can really affect us emotionally. Emily did a great job with it all. </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Even after finishing the book, I had such a book hangover that I had to reread it again! While you expect from the title that it will be a beach read, light, rom-com about two authors who write the opposite of what they are used to, but the entire premise was perfect. I loved January and Augustus immediately and enjoyed all the humour and how their relationship grew from friends to more. Beach Read is officially one of my favourite books of the year and the writing was captivating from the beginning to end. I already wish I had her next book! I really enjoyed getting to see that these characters are so relatable. The book overall is a must read! Plus you will also fall in love with Gus :) </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If you are looking for a great read, you need to pick this up at the bookstore immediately! I will definitely be recommending this book to my friends and at the bookstore! It was absolutely amazing and a bit heartbreaking, but you will not regret this book! </span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">5/5</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><p><br /></p></div>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-6224778867704027982020-10-20T09:00:00.001-04:002020-10-20T09:21:40.313-04:00The Brightest Night (Origin #3) by Jennifer L. I will say that this is one of the best years of books written by Jen! She did not disappoint in the third book in the Origin series. I'm always happy to be back into this world and see some of my favourite characters. As a big reader of JLA's she did an amazing job writing this book. I already need the next book after reading the ending. So many emotions!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Evie has grown so much in this series, to knowing more about who she is and also start mastering her abilities. She has so much support from Luc, who loves her to no end, and very supportive friends to help her along the way. Along with some cameos from past characters. I think I also fell for Luc more in this one as well. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">While the story did start off slow it definitely progressed faster than I thought because I finished it so quickly. Brought back some great memories when I first read the series. Seeing them in the book made me smile. I'm not going to give too much away! Overall, I loved this book so much! Even after reading that ending! His lies are as seductive as his touch. His truths as sensual as his bite. Poppy knows better than to trust him. He needs her alive, healthy, and whole to achieve his goals. But he’s the only way for her to get what she wants—to find her brother Ian and see for herself if he has become a soulless Ascended. Working with Casteel instead of against him presents its own risks. He still tempts her with every breath, offering up all she’s ever wanted. Casteel has plans for her. Ones that could expose her to unimaginable pleasure and unfathomable pain. Plans that will force her to look beyond everything she thought she knew about herself—about him. As always Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my top favourite authors and when I finished the first book, <i>From Blood and Ash,</i> I knew immediately that the second book was going to be one of my most anticipated reads of 2020. This amazing fantasy series is a must read because it has action, romance and so many twist and turns that you will have a book hangover after reading it. Plus we get more Hawke/Cas. I definitely took my time with the second book and it paid off because there was so much going on in each scene that I wanted to absorb every detail to prepare myself for the third book. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><i>A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire</i> picks up right where we left off in From Blood and Ash where Poppy has just learned she is now to become Casteel's wife. Not everyone there is too thrilled (Atlantians and the Wolven). Jen created an amazing world that she has created with a mixture of vampires and mythology of the backgrounds of the Atlantians, Descenters and the wolvens. Also I love how there is a map now! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If you loved Poppy and Cas in FB&A you will fall in love with them more in AKOFAF. Out of all of Jen's couples I think these two are one of my favourites couples. Poppy is just as much stabby with Casteel and their character growth through the entire book was amazing. I loved every moment. You can immediately see how much their feelings has changed to more in this book because they are thrown into situations that come up and do it together as a team. Even though Cas betrayed Poppy they have to come together to defeat the Craven and the Descenters. I also found some of my favourite quotes are between these two, some hilarious and some jaw dropping moments right to the amazing romance Cas and Poppy have. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As a huge fan of Jen's, not reading spoilers was the key to me finishing the book because I wanted to know every detail and also how it was important to the first book. It all intertwines! A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire was an amazing read that you will not be able to put it down! All 496 pages worth! There are lots of twist and turns you will not see coming, especially that ending! I'm still in shock. This book was perfection. 100% I will be recommending this book to friends. Now to patiently wait until the next book!!! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">If you are looking for your next fantasy read go start this series now! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">5/5</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBseGiD-NFErJWKweYlGr78_lgZtl2SnCkNdJ75fxJJzXqsindqNitMevvSGrqS0h_BhtKl5w51q-fcoFSiEENIw1I5UMR39nLceI6Twq29PF96-XFONMu1mHjMRAnwQw1CEJKJbAKIh2_/s1875/91504507_1631171397038173_6587132664032002048_o.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1875" data-original-width="1251" height="210" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBseGiD-NFErJWKweYlGr78_lgZtl2SnCkNdJ75fxJJzXqsindqNitMevvSGrqS0h_BhtKl5w51q-fcoFSiEENIw1I5UMR39nLceI6Twq29PF96-XFONMu1mHjMRAnwQw1CEJKJbAKIh2_/w140-h210/91504507_1631171397038173_6587132664032002048_o.jpg" width="140" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <a href="https://www.amazon.ca/Blood-Ash-Jennifer-L-Armentrout/dp/1952457009/ref=sr_1_1?crid=NYR42738CR4B&dchild=1&keywords=from+blood+and+ash&qid=1598970743&sprefix=from+blood%2Caps%2C183&sr=8-1">Amazon</a>| <a href="https://www.kobo.com/ca/en/ebook/from-blood-and-ash">Kobo </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><br /> <p></p></div>Amanda @Stuck In YA Bookshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138886784098328895noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2188325941212328621.post-40240619742538017742020-07-17T01:25:00.000-04:002020-07-17T01:28:53.872-04:00The Queen (The Wicked Trilogy #3.7) by Jennifer L. <b><span style="font-size: large;">Review:</span></b><br />
<br />
What an amazing read <i>The Queen</i> was because I wish there were more pages!! Another word after reading this book is speechless. Now to my review. I loved how it picked up right where The King left off because we found out what is going on with Brighton and her visit to the doctor. From the first page I couldn't put it down! I have loved reading the Wicked Trilogy so much that to see the end of Caden's and Brighton's story come to an end. Jen did a great job closing the novella's.<br />
<br />
I would say Brighton has grown so much as a character throughout the entire three novella's. Her character is so kick-a** both physically and emotionally. There were times that you would wish she told Caden the truth but as you read the series you would understand why. <i>The Queen</i> was amazing and so action packed and Caden is just as swoony. Plus the ending was perfect! I loved seeing Caden's world and I do hope we get to see more of the fae world. Also, Tink was hilarious as always!<br />
<br />
Overall, this series is a must read! I do believe that you should read the Wicked series before starting to get a little more background of the characters! The epilogue was the perfect way to end it in Caden's voice and ended it on a beautiful note. Thank you Jen for allowing me to follow your series from beginning to end, now to write Tink's novella! Also can't wait to watch the Wicked movie on Passionflix!!<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Review: </b></span><br />
<br />
As always I was sucked back into the very addicting Harbinger series by one of my favourite authors, Jennifer L. Armentrout. I always love being back in this world of gargoyle's and demons especially Zayne and Trinity's world. You are immediately pulled in that you won't be able to put it down. I feel like I was also crying through some scenes. Now to wish I had the next book! As you can see this series is one everyone needs to invest in as well as her Dark Elements series. Plus Team Zayne!<br />
<br />
The second book in the Harbinger series brings Trinity and Zayne are back and are bonded as protected and true born as well as finding out more information about the Harbinger. It picks up right where we left off in Storm and Fury and they are still trying to stop the acoplaspe as well as they are forbidden to be with each other.<br />
<br />
Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of those authors who brings her stories to life and connect her readers so well with her characters who are strong and funny. Trinity is one of those characters who also has RPN and is feeling insure about some things which makes her relatable too many readers. I'm so proud of Jen for writing this character, because she is so tough like her other book characters (Alex). She is determined and willing to try anything! Plus I was so happy to see Roth and Layla again!! There scenes were the best and made me laugh!<br />
<br />
Zayne has changed so much since the Dark Elements series. He is definitely one that like to think before he acts. He has grown so much until now and while I've always been a fan of Zayne it was great to see him grow as a man/warden. I love Zayne and Trinity together. He is very protective of her and they have such amazing chemistry that every scene with them was them overcoming all these obstacles in order to be together.<br />
<br />
The entire book was amazing from start to finish. I wish it didn't have to end the way it did because now I'm in totally complete shock that I need the next book immediately in my hands. I think everyone needs to read this series. If you are a JLA fan like I am you are definitely auto-buying all her books! Also stay safe during these times!!<br />

<span style="background-color: #f4cccc;">Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Never to experience pleasure. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. But the choice has never been hers.</span></div>

<span style="background-color: #f4cccc;">The entire kingdom’s future rests on Poppy’s shoulders, something she’s not even quite sure she wants for herself. Because a Maiden has a heart. And a soul. And longing. And when Hawke, a golden-eyed guard honor bound to ensure her Ascension, enters her life, destiny and duty become tangled with desire and need. He incites her anger, makes her question everything she believes in, and tempts her with the forbidden.</span></div>

<span style="background-color: #f4cccc;">Forsaken by the gods and feared by mortals, a fallen kingdom is rising once more, determined to take back what they believe is theirs through violence and vengeance. And as the shadow of those cursed draws closer, the line between what is forbidden and what is right becomes blurred. Poppy is not only on the verge of losing her heart and being found unworthy by the gods, but also her life when every blood-soaked thread that holds her world together begins to unravel.</span></div>

<span face=""arial" , sans-serif" style="color: #333333; font-size: 14px;">I really enjoyed Poppy's character. She has so much on her shoulders as she has the entire kingdom depends on her as the Maiden. The entire novel was amazing. I literally feel like after reading, From Blood and Ash I have no words except </span><u style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">amazing</u><span face=""arial" , sans-serif" style="color: #333333; font-size: 14px;">. Every word written is able to capture every reader immediately into this fantasy world she has created. This one is definitely high up their as a favourite especially after a certain scene! If you love high fantasy, you will love this book. We also get to know the history, magic and romance all wrapped into one journey. The scenes between Hawke and Poppy is definitely complex right from the start of the book and you see them both grow as characters throughout the entire book. I found Hawke to be a very deep character who has many sides to him where Poppy is strong and she knows what she wants. </span><br />

<span face=""arial" , sans-serif" style="color: #333333;"><span style="caret-color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 14px;">Jen you have created a masterpiece with this one! I knew right away in 2011 when <i>Half-Blood</i> came out that you were going to be one of my all time favourite authors and friend. Thank you so much. From Blood and Ash was a phenomenal read and its going to possible make people throw their book/e-reader through the window by the end but its totally worth it. Such an amazing fantasy full of action, danger, mystery and a swoony romance. I already need the next book!! Fantasy readers need to pick this one up right away!</span></span><br />

When Jonah arrives on her doorstep with a proposition she can’t dismiss, she takes the leap and rushes back to Alaska to begin their exciting future together.<br /><br />But Calla soon learns that even the best intentions can lead to broken promises, and that compromise comes with a hefty price—a log cabin in interior rural Alaska that feels as isolating as the western tundra.<br /><br />With Jonah gone more than he’s home, one neighbor who insists on transforming her into a true Alaskan, and another who seems more likely to shoot her than come to her aid, Calla grapples with forging her own path. <b>Review: </b><br />
<br />
Some may know that I absolutely loved, <i>The Simple Wild</i> by K.A. Tucker a few years ago. Since then I have become a big fan of all of her books and when I found out there was going to be a sequel to one of my favourites, I was over the moon excited! Fast-forward to today where I just finished <i>Wild at Heart</i>. Let me say that this was one of the best sequels I've had read and I wish that K.A. Tucker will write a third book. I just love these characters so much that I want to see what is going to happen with their relationship (Calla + Jonah) and their Alaskan friends! I wish I would've read it more slowly due to myself not wanting it to end. Loved it!!<br />
<br />
It begins right where we left off from the first book and gives us a bit of a recap. I'm so happy that K.A. Tucker has brought us back into this Alaskan world because the first one ended perfectly and left it very open to a sequel. I can say that this book did not disappoint and is one of my favourite books of the year. This book has definitely taught me that I while I love all the outdoors I also hate the mosquitos just as much (like Calla). Her character has taught me to be just as brave as her as she embraces her new surroundings and follows her heart to move to Alaska with Jonah. We got to see exactly all of Calla's fears, jealously, triumphs, friendship, and romance with this journey. It felt like you were there with her as she faced each one of them.<br />
<br />
The chemistry between Calla and Jonah was taken to the next level as you see their relationship grow in this one. It is their journey together as a couple that I can even say has captured all of us readers hearts because they love each other so deeply and sacrifice certain things to be with each other. Wild at Heart was just perfect in every way. I was cheering and crying at a few parts with their relationship and with how everything happened I was happy with how the entire book ended. Agnes, Mabel, Roy, Toby and the locals who also help shape Calla as she adjusts her new life after Wren has past away.<br />
<br />
K.A. Tucker has woven us a beautiful story about love, adventure and friendship in this amazing series. I really hope that we get to see more of Calla and Jonah's future in a third book because I want to see what their life in Alaska is going to be like and we would get more Jonah! The story was just perfection. Thank you K.A. Tucker for writing this book and bringing us along with their adventures and the beautiful backdrop of Alaska.<br />
