What are some of your biggest pet peeves with books ie. Love triangles? I would say that some of my pet peeves in books would be: 1) Insta love 2) weird topics that don't relate to the book 3) Cliff-hangers (depends on what happened in the book) 4) Characters that you can't relate to 5) Where the plot doesn't make sense This was a hard one for me to answer!

This week's question: Write a letter to your favorite author Gah!! This is going to be hard to write since I have a lot of favorite authors. But I will say this to all of them: Dear authors, To each and everyone one of you, thank you for writing some of my favorite books because they are amazing, create an image of your characters, recommend to other readers when I am working at my job because if you didn't write I would be without a job and would not be reading. Being a blogger, getting to know you during this experience and being able to meet you in person creates joy in me as we become friends. Thank you for giving every reader a chance to explore your minds! Can't wait to read all your upcoming books and to eventually meet in person! - Amanda

Question this Week: Why did you start blogging?   When I first heard about blogging, I was in my last year of high school and just starting to begin my passion of reading again after reading Twilight. I know! But I would like to thank this book because it opened me up to new genres and meeting the blogging community. I first started by just posting small reviews up on Chapters Indigo. One day I noticed that someone already read a book not even out so I clicked on the link that was provided and saw that they created a book blog. So I immediately opened up blogger and began my blog here at Stuck In YA Books. This journey has been the greatest because I've become friends with many bloggers, authors and even making connections with publishing companies which was very hard for me to do at first because finding the publicists were a bit challenging at first. My first e-galley site was Galley Grab that was featuring Simon Schuster books then I eventually found Netgalley a...

Q: Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who do you think would win? I would say a fight between Cassian (Firelight) and Alex (Angel Burn). This would be an interesting battle between Angel killer and dragon (Onyx- which is one of the strongest) I think it would be a bit of an even battle but overall my decision of who would probably win is Cassian. I love both characters and they are both hot. :)  Which do you think would win from my choice??

Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male? A: What characteristics I like in my favorite books is a strong personality, has a dream and tries to achieve it. I love the kickass heroine because it brings soo much excitement. They need to somewhat catch my attention and let me know their story for me to read the book.

Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why? Good question, I think I avoid anything with self-help and magazines (dont really read them anymore). This is because when I go to the book store I go straight to the Young Adult section/ Fiction section(depends on which Author will be on the shelf ex. Emily Giffin, Meg Cabot) I have always never liked self-help, I found it boring and it didnt help me. Magazine are too full of gossip, I can only handle so much.  What do you avoid?

Q: What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book? A: That`s a hard question, but I guess it was when I was at Chapters looking for Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I knew beforehand that they had the book in the store, but they didnt put them on the shelves yet. I asked one of the workers if they were able to help me. They searched their system and told me that it was just delivered yesterday (this was a Tuesday). So they searched the shelves, nothing, then she told me they would put it on hold for me. But being me, I knew one of the workers, who usually knows me to maybe get the book from the back:) It took a little while, but I did get the book. This has happened a lot to me, but eventually I do get that particular book that I want.    Whats the craziest you have done!

Q: Go count the number of unread books sitting on your shelf. How many? A: I have probably over 50 books to read on my shelf, I also have e-books to read as well! But with school starting soon for University, I will have to try to read in between my studies. But recently my mom counted how many books I have currently, its roughly over 200... How many do u still have to read?

(Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?) When I read a book, I usually keep it on the shelf. If its the ones that I love I will definitely keep it. The books I only read once I would giveaway or donate it to the library. I am open to swapping, but I am not ready to part with my shelves just yet. ARCs if I already bought it in hardcover, I would giveaway the book to bloggers so they can enjoy the book.  So what do you do with your finish copies?

Q: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books?  My pet peeve when it comes to book is the fast disappearance of the evil character, and we also need to get to know more of the antagonist. They are one of the main characters, and we do want to see them defeated, but background would be cool too. I am pretty good with all the evil characters it thickens the story. Whats your pet peeve?
