BLOGGING 101 Here are a few tips from one blogger to another! 1. BE YOURSELF! I recommend that you be honest when you are blogging and be comfortable with who you are. There was a time that I wanted to keep my identity away from the public, but I am glad I didn't because that person is not the real me. I connected with so many people who like the same thing I do and their blog succeeded. Tell your story !! 2. HAVE FUN! Be sure to not get caught up with trying to keep up with what other bloggers are doing on their blogs. Blogging to me is a hobby that I enjoy and at the same time becoming friends with bloggers around the world. Even join in Follow Fridays because you can write about your experiences about a certain topic. Don't stress out about not making a post in time and just have fun! 3. Armchair BEA: Social Media (Day 2)

Image
Social Media I use social media a lot as a blogger because it  means to connect with other bloggers, readers and friends across the globe. Currently I'm using Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and my blog as ways to help readers look for their next book. I post all my reviews on the internet on stores sites (Amazon, Chapters Indigo, and Goodreads. If you are starting off as a new blogger I recommend you for sure make connections with authors and publishers on Twitter etc. When I started blogging I didn't know what to do so I went to get help through social media and some other bloggers were able to help me get on my feet and even start giveaways! Check out my media outlets on the right!!

As 2014 has now passed 2015 is going to be even better for us book lovers since there are so many coming out in the next few months! There are many goals I want to set up for this year which is to try and focus on school, at the same time also focus on my blog. My school schedule is going to be a little busy this semester so I am not guaranteeing that I will make them all. Goals: Read 100 books  Lose 20 pounds (2 pounds a week) Eat healthier  Post at least 2 reviews a week Try to post everyday (if I can) Be Me!

Why I Blog.....

I started book blogging to talk about the books I love. I started first on Chapters Indigo and gradually moved on to Blogger as a way to let a wider audience read my reviews. I know people want to request books like crazy from the publisher all depending on their followers but not all publishers look at that. It all depends on how you reach out on the public and reading others blogs. I do understand that its hard to gain followers, all bloggers go through it, but your blog has to make a name for itself rather than asking other blogs to follow you because of a meme its about the content of the blog that will attract your views and publishers.  When I started in 2009 I did not understand a thing about blogging, never even heard about it, but after I read the Twilight series I was going through a phase of constant reading and I wanted to voice out my ideas. I was always at the book store and once I finished that book I would post a short review of what I thought of the book. ...
