This Is Not A Test by Courtney Summers Blog Tour (Interview)

Image
Hey Everyone! I would like to thank Courtney Summers and Raincoast books for the privilege of being apart of the This Is Not A Test Blog Tour! I really did love this book from the beginning to end since now I have been liking more zombie type books lately. Here is my interview with Courtney Summers!! 1. How did you come up with the idea for This is Not a Test?   Courtney S: I've always been a fan of zombies and I always knew I'd write a zombie book one day, so when the time came for me and my editor to decide what my fourth book would be about, I submitted two zombie related ideas to her. The pitch for THIS IS NOT A TEST was basically, "Teens stuck in a high school during the zombie apocalypse." She liked its potential, so she gave me the go ahead. As I was developing the idea, I thought a lot about the zombie movies I watch and enjoy and one thing I noticed is survival is usually hardwired into the main character from the get-go and then I started to wonder...

Kelley York: Interview

Image
Hello!!! Here is my interview with Kelley York!! This post is a little late due to me being a little busy this past month, but Kelley is one awesome writer. Big thanks to Entangled Publishing:D 1) What was your favorite scene to write about in Hushed? I have a lot of favorites. Archer and Evan’s ‘just bones’ scene always comes to mind, along with any of Archer’s confrontations with his mom. A lot of readers seem to enjoy the more tender moments with him and Evan, but I always like the emotional, heartbreaking scenes best when writing. 2) How did you come up with the idea of plot/story? I had several other WIPs at the time, but I dropped all of them when I got the idea for Archer. He was so fascinating to me, and I dove into his story immediately. It started with him and branched out from there. 3) How long did it take you to finish Hushed? I don’t remember the exact time, but I’ll guess around 5 months from start to finish. There was a small gap in there of a few weeks wherein ...

Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has sp...

Interview- Josephine Angelini

Image
Hey everyone, all you know that I have recently read Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini. Read My Review HERE I loved this book. It was fantastic and full of action. I loved her idea to use Greek mythology. I was so happy that she was also able to grant me an interview, even with her busy schedule. Here's the Interview: Hope you all like it!! Amanda: What drew you to write YA fantasy? Josephine Angelini: I’ve always loved fantasy.  I’m a long-confirmed geek who grew up reading Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Marion Zimmer Bradley, and the like.  I watch shows like TRUE BLOOD, GAME OF THRONES, and THROUGH THE WORMHOLE with Morgan Freeman religiously.  And yes, I realize that the last one on that list is an educational show on the Science Channel.  See?  *Points to self* Geek.  The YA part of my interest came about because I think my writing style just fits inside this particular genre.  And honestly… YA has the most enthusiastic, committed...
