Review:
I LOVE Miranda Kenneally!!! I loved Catching Jordan last year, so I had to read what was next in Miranda's series. It had me in a variety emotions, and practically by the end I wanted to read it again. It has everything you can think of while growing up and also being in high school. The family dynamics with the mixture of romance . I also liked that how she incorporated characters from Catching Jordan who also makes appearances! Which is one of my favorite things of her writing!
This is definitely one of my favorites because Miranda Kenneally's characters are so amazing that you will be rooting for them until the end of the book! In her second book Stealing Parker, Parker is a very interesting character, totally different than Jordan. Parker is great at baseball and he also mostly friends with the boys, and once after the she had the perfect life, before her mother's scandal. It was soo emotional going through with some of the story. She then meets Brian, her (23 year old coach) and they both flirt with each other, and this romance was forbidden and with also her personal issues it was a lot of things going on! I really did like Parker as a character because lots of kids go through some of the things that she goes through as a student and a girl who is great at softball. She always puts others before what she needs and in the end doesnt deserve to be treated the ways she was.
Then there is romance which I always love and then there is Will, who is always there for her when she needs him, and who can make you want to hug, and kiss him yourself! Will is one of those characters that you will love because he is sweet and kind, and does know what Parker is like.
Miranda Kenneally is one of my favorite writers and in her companion novel, which I finished in practically 2 days was addictive and such a page turner! It was far from the perfect story of a perfect character and it made the story even better! The ending was perfect and Parker does regret was has happened during the book, but she is making amends. I cannot wait to read Miranda's next book Things I Can't Forget because its amazing! If you are looking for anything similar I recommend Such A Rush by Jennifer Echols!
5/5
