The second installment in Kristen Simmons's fast-paced, gripping YA dystopian series.

After faking their deaths to escape from prison, Ember Miller and Chase Jennings have only one goal: to lay low until the Federal Bureau of Reformation forgets they ever existed.

Near-celebrities now for the increasingly sensationalized tales of their struggles with the government, Ember and Chase are recognized and taken in by the Resistance—an underground organization working to systematically take down the government. At headquarters, all eyes are on the sniper, an anonymous assassin taking out FBR soldiers one by one. Rumors are flying about the sniper’s true identity, and Ember and Chase welcome the diversion….

Until the government posts its most-wanted list, and their number one suspect is Ember herself.

Orders are shoot to kill, and soldiers are cleared to fire on suspicion alone. Suddenly Ember can’t even step onto the street without fear of being recognized, and “laying low” is a joke. Even members of the Resistance are starting to look at her sideways.

With Chase urging her to run, Ember must decide: Go into hiding…or fight back?

Review:

In the second installment of Article 5, Kristen Simmons has stepped it up again with her sequel, Breaking Point. Ember and Chase are great characters. I want the next one!!!!!! I will definitely be buying this one! It was AMAZING, full of action and Chase Jennings is still one hot boy!!The sequel was even better because when reading it just got better and better as the character develop was growing and the chemistry between Ember and Chase.

Breaking Point is set in a dystopian world. It picks up where the Article 5 leaves off, Ember and Chase Jennings who are still on the run from the evil FBR which still think they are dead. They then join a rebel group which is to take down the government. While reading, it was such a great page turner, with tons of action, and at every turn there was always a new development which made your heart go crazy! In this underground group both Ember and Chase are both suffering what had happened to them in the past. Their emotions and scars bound them together to make them stronger.

The plot was great because if you loved Article 5, Breaking Point is fast paced, and so many decisions where made that you will be shocked at some scenes. Every chapter was detailed, and as well as learning new rules from the FBR. Kristen Simmons writing was phenomenal because it hooked me from the first chapter since I had to know what is going to happen to Ember and Chase. The fighting was even more intense and the course of trust. Ember and Chase romance also has its ups and downs but they still love each other. The romance was also more heated, which I loved because I love these two together, which could leave people breathless.

I enjoyed every minute of Breaking Point, and I am excited to see what the third book will have in store for us readers because the ending of this book left me speechless, and wanting more. Kristen Simmons is definitely an author to look out for because her books are amazing and Breaking Point lives up to its title. Fast paced, romance, and action are all in Breaking Point and I am now excited for the final book!

5/5
