Review:
I was really blown away of how much I really loved this book! I don't even know what to write since it deals with heavy serious subjects. Be completely prepared to read this because I know I was not ready. It was a very good book that I had to put it down because of all the emotion. Loved every page, but it felt that the ending was a little rushed. Devon Ashley you are an amazing author who did a great job!!
Now on to the story. There are some disturbing scenes and dark moments. Megan Smith is working at a diner for a year. It is clear that Megan is hiding from her pas, but unlike most girls Megan has every cause because she has to stay in hiding. Until she meets the new cook Nickolas. He makes the food at the restaurant more delicious and pleasurable. Megan and Nick have a connection from the day they first meet. Nick does take things slowly as well as he looks out for her. Their relationship really does go through a test and they do strive to save it as well as a struggle.
In this story about a girl who was kidnapped at seventeen, it did break my heart from reading this. Megan has gone through so much in her life. This book with a lot of social issues and real life about the world today. It had a good plot as well as an emotional connection with the characters trying to move on. Be sure to read this book!!
5/5
