Summary (Goodreads)
She will become one of the world’s greatest heroes: WONDER WOMAN. But first she is Diana, Princess of the Amazons. And her fight is just beginning. . . .

Diana longs to prove herself to her legendary warrior sisters. But when the opportunity finally comes, she throws away her chance at glory and breaks Amazon law—risking exile—to save a mere mortal. Even worse, Alia Keralis is no ordinary girl and with this single brave act, Diana may have doomed the world.

Alia just wanted to escape her overprotective brother with a semester at sea. She doesn’t know she is being hunted. When a bomb detonates aboard her ship, Alia is rescued by a mysterious girl of extraordinary strength and forced to confront a horrible truth: Alia is a Warbringer—a direct descendant of the infamous Helen of Troy, fated to bring about an age of bloodshed and misery.

Together, Diana and Alia will face an army of enemies—mortal and divine—determined to either destroy or possess the Warbringer. If they have any hope of saving both their worlds, they will have to stand side by side against the tide of war.

Review:

As one of my most anticipated releases of this year it did not disappoint! Leigh Bardugo is one of the my top favorite authors whose writing/world building is amazing. Plus look at that cover!! I've always been a big super hero person and loved the recent Wonder Woman movie! So when I started this I didn't want it to end!! The story is easy to follow and will keep you on the edge of your seat while your reading.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer is about the story of Princess Diana who proves to her warrior sisters as well meet new characters like Alia who is a Warbringer, the direct descendant of Helen of Troy. The book had the power of friendship, action, drama, death, a touch of romance and even some Greek mythology which I love to read about. Each character has their own strength as well as great dialogue which Leigh Bardugo is great at!

If you are a fan of superhero books and Wonder Woman you will definitely want to pick up the book! It's a great retelling of one of my favourite superheroes and shows how powerful friendships rather than just the romance. I really loved this book from the beginning and I'm looking forward to the rest in the DC icon series!
