Day One: Armchair BEA- Introductions
- Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?
2. Describe your blog in just one sentence. Then, list your social details -- Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. -- so we can connect more online.
My blog is fun, loves to interact with authors to support their writing.
3. What genre do you read the most? I love to read because ___________________ .
The genre I read the most is Young Adult, Romance and a bit of fiction. I love to read because its the one thing that is relaxing. I love getting to know all the authors and publishers too!
4. What was your favorite book read last year? What’s your favorite book so far this year?
This is soo hard!! I have too many favorites but my most favorite would be Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Apollyon (Covenant #5) by JLA, How to Love by Katie Cotugno and Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas . My favorite so far this year is between Open Road Summer by Emery Lord, The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson, The Winners Curse by Marie Rutkoski, and Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi (see too many!!
5. What does your favorite/ideal reading space look like?
My favorite ideal place would be the library like in Beauty and the Beast
6. Name your favorite blog(s) and explain why they are your favorite(s).
Xpresso Reads- She has great taste in books and writes awesome reviews + she has a tour line and graphics! Definitely a favorite
Book Nerd Canada- I love visiting her blog! So wish I could meet her!
7. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 books would you bring? Why?
I would bring ALL of Jennifer L. Armentrout's books if I could (more Half-Blood, White Hot Kiss) and Divergent because Jen is my favorite author, I would read ANY of her books because she is amazing!
8. What book would you love to see as a movie?
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas or The Shatter Me Series!
You know, I started reading heavily again after reading Twilight, too! And I am definitely older than the target demographic for that one, but I am okay with that. Lisa @Just Another Rabid Reader
ReplyDeletePersians sound like the perfect dessert! I love cinnamon rolls and strawberry. Heaven!
ReplyDeleteKristen @ Pretty Little Pages
Nice answers. Belle's library? Hell ya. Jennifer Armentrout was at RT Convention. She is a doll.
ReplyDeleteI love you blog. New follower through RSS/Feedly.
Now I'll be dreaming about that library all day.
ReplyDeleteAnd I only recently started on the Twilight series (never thought I'd read it actually) and must say I can understand why so many people like it.
Oh, I love your favorite reading spot choice. The first time I saw that library in Beauty and the Beast I wanted to have one.
ReplyDeleteCrown of midnight is a fantastic book and yes, why didn't I think of the Beauty and the beast library. That would be amazing to have :D
ReplyDeleteMel@thedailyprophecy
I don't like cinnamon but Persians still sound good. Love the Beauty and Beast library
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet another Canadian blogger. Belle's library is beautiful.

Hey Amanda, Nice to "meet" you! I've been wanting to read How to Love by Katie Cotugno for a while now. Hopefully I'll be able to get to it sooner than later. It looks like we read a lot of the same genres, I added you on Goodreads. Enjoy Armchair BEA!
ReplyDeleteI blog at Shelf Addiction
Gorgeous library! That is certainly one to dream about :)
ReplyDeleteSuzy Turner, Fiction Dreams
I love Xpresso Reads as well - such a great blog! I'm a fan of young adult books as well. I love that you talked about where you come from and especially the desserts! Yum!
ReplyDeleteHello fellow Canuck! I've enjoyed following you on Twitter and it's great to get to know a bit more about you. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I'm not much of a YA reader but there are lots of books that I know of that ate YAs. That and of their authors for they transition between YA and other genres. I never read Twilight nor seen the movie so no comment on that. The Shattered series is great for having one of its books and Jennifer L. Armentrout is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteCROWN OF MIDNIGHT!!! I love that series so much and cannot wait for Heir. Also, I won Open Road Summer and hear so many awesome things from the book - I can't wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to "meet" you Amanda :)
Here’s my Armchair BEA intro post.

ReplyDelete*Sigh* What I wouldn't give to have Belle's library! I'm working on making my own, hopefully I'll get there someday!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Armchair BEA: Intros and Literature!
I've wanted that library since I first laid eyes on it, and Crown of Midnight was one of my picks for favorite book from last year too!
ReplyDeleteJessica @ Rabid Reads
I agree! That library is one I would love to have...
ReplyDeleteAh, Belle's library. Don't we all wish...I just read my first JLA book this year (I know!), White Hot Kiss, which I loved. Next I'm eying the Half-Blood series.

ReplyDeleteGreat to meet you. I am a new follower.
ReplyDeleteI also live in Ontario, but my sister went to Confederation College in Thunder Bay. So I know your area well too. :-)
Thanks! I am looking forward to starting in the fall for the college :)
DeleteTwilight was a great start to share the love of books! I think I would never leave that library! :)
ReplyDeleteThrone of Glass and Shatter Me would both be EPIC movies! Also loved your choices for fave books! I adored Open Road Summer and Crown of Midnight was amazing. I'm pretty much dying for Heir of Fire!!! Also love JLA! Lovely interview, Amanda! Happy Armchair BEA!
ReplyDelete-Becca @ Pivot Book Reviews
I watched the Twilight movies first and then read the first book. Up until that time, I had no idea what YA was. As a reader, I prefer 3rd person and can find the constant "I"s annoying. But I'm learning about this dystopian world thing and have an idea for a story.
ReplyDeleteI lived in Michigan for a few years and know that reading is a great pastime when it's snowing. Canada must be really cold! Nice to meet you.
