Review:
In Lauren Oliver's sequel to Delirium, Pandemonium was full of surprises and the anticipation that it will want you to read the next one! I loved how the story went from Now and Then because we got to see Lena start to be stronger and why she went to New York. Alex is not in this book unfortunately. I am a huge team Alex! Through staying with the Wilds she develops herself and becomes and even smarter/stronger character because living outlawed is hard because you have to live and survive the winter. I cried during this book through one scene because it was soo heartbreaking with that certain storyline.
Pandemonium also introduces us to some new characters like Raven who is the leader of the group who takes in Lena and transforms her into a strong character, into a NEW Lena. Along with Raven and many more very interesting characters! The sequel really was fantastic because it showed a new side to Lena we never saw before. With her sudden loss and was thinking Alex was dead after what happened in Delirium. I even started to like Julian (another love interest) he was one of those people with good looks and personality. Lauren Oliver has a way with words because I really loved the book! It was a whirlwind of emotions and action that could not be contained!!
The ending was OMG OMG when does the next book (Requiem) come out!! Like any Lauren Oliver ending it was a cliffhanger,I had no words after that ending.... but this is going to be a LONG wait until we read the last book in this amazing trilogy. I loved everything about this book, the writing, action and even the romance. If you haven't started this series, start it today!! Its one of those books you cannot put down! I was soo addicted it only took me 1 day. Be sure to pick up Pandemonium at your store because it was Amazing!!
I just finished that this week! I thought it was pretty much amazing. Laurent Oliver knows his to tell a compelling story. And even though I loved Ale in Delirium, I started liking Julian too. How will she ever decide?! :D
ReplyDeleteI know exactly which part you were referring to regarding tears. It was sad. The ending was not unexpected for me, as I expected a certain somebody to come back into the picture, but the way Lauren did it was amazing! Talk about a cliffhanger!
