Armchair BEA: Day 1 (Introductions)

  1. Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Who are you? How long have you been blogging? Why did you get into blogging?
My name is Amanda. I love to read anywhere. I have 3 other siblings. I am currently going to be going into my 5th year of university to become a teacher. I have been blogging for almost 3 years now. I got into blogging by starting to post mini reviews on Chapter Indigo. My reading progressed after I read the Twilight series. I started to blog on blogger after a few months

2. Where in the world are you blogging from? Tell a random fact or something special about your current location. Feel free to share pictures.

I am a Canadian blogger from Thunder Bay, Ontario. The special thing about Thunder Bay is that we have great scenery and yummy food! We are a great community who all know each other, or related. Persians are one of the most popular desserts in town (like a cinnamon roll with strawberry icing) Also great history! and the Sleeping Giant!

Have you previously participated in Armchair BEA? What brought you back for another year? If you have not previously participated, what drew you to the event?

I have participated in Armchair BEA last year, it brought me back because of all the new people I have met. It drew me in because of everyone who wanted to go to BEA.

What are you currently reading, or what is your favorite book you have read so far in 2013?

I am currently reading Emblaze by Jessica Shirvington. I have so many books so far in 2013 but it would have to be Golden by Jessi Kirby

Name your favorite blog(s) and explain why they are your favorite(s).

Xpresso Reads- She has great taste in books and writes awesome reviews + she has a tour line and grpahics!

If you could eat dinner with any author or character, who would it be and why?

I would love to have dinner with Jennifer L. Armentrout. She is my all time favorite author because her writing is amazing. She is a friend and I would love to meet her in person.

What literary location would you most like to visit? Why?

I would love to go to Hogwarts because its magical and full of mystery! Harry Potter is a wizard, and going there would be awesome due to the fantastic picture that J.K. Rowling accomplished in her series as many people have read this series. I would love to see all the ghosts as well!

What is your favorite part about the book blogging community?

My favorite part of the community is the amount of people there is and how we all have similar interests of discussing our favorite authors and novels! The publishers and authors are also amazing to work with (also the nicest!)

Is there anything that you would like to see change in the coming years?

Me being good at doing graphic (hopefully)

  2. I wish I was good at doing graphics; I think it takes a lot of patience and I'm not a patient person! Haha

  6. Mmm, Persian's sound delicious. I love the pic of the water. Boat rides are the best. I wish I could go to Hogwarts too.

I have no idea how to do successful graphic designing, but I want to have a nice header on my blog, so I want to discover how to do that too.

  8. Welcome back to Armchair BEA! I haven't read Golden yet, but it's on my TBR list. Glad to hear good things about it! JLA is definitely a great author. I've only read her Lux series, but I do plan to read her other stuff too...eventually. And everyone says Hogwarts. I completely agree though...100%! Good luck with the rest of your Armchair BEA experience.

  13. I'd love to visit Hogwarts, too. I just love the imagery in those books, and how J. K. Rowling brought that world to such vivid life.
