Review:

This is the first book I've read from Jennifer Anne Davis and it will certainly not be the last because after reading Cage of Deceit. I was instantly hooked from the beginning of the True Reign series. All the characters and the world that Jennifer has created was captivating. I just loved this book so much that I didn't want to put it down! You will care about these characters until you reach the end. Plus the book has a map, which makes it even more awesome! I haven't read the other books in the series but I will check them out now! 

Allyssa has to be one of my favorite princesses. She is a strong main character that has to deal with an arranged marriage, romance, and a lot of adventure! As heir to her kingdom she is willing to do anything to protect it as well as the people she loves. Plus she fights criminals under the name of Lilly. I loved her personality and her loyalty to her family and friends. As the reader you will see her transform into a princess/empress who is ready to marry a prince to protect her land from Russek. 

The author did an amazing job with this book!! I already want the next book in this series! The romance was through the roof with tension and I connected with the characters. It was also great to see the world development + action between the rivalry and politics of each kingdom. Also there is no love triangle! There was also a great relationship between Allyssa and her parents which is great to see in books! But I did not see that ending coming! Can I have the next book already!! Be sure to pick up this book when it comes out in the next few days!!
