Summary (Goodreads

When Wendy Everly first discovers the truth about herself—that she’s a changeling switched at birth—she knows her life will never be the same. Now she’s about to learn that there’s more to the story…

She shares a closer connection to her Vittra rivals than she ever imagined—and they’ll stop at nothing to lure her to their side. With the threat of war looming, her only hope of saving the Trylle is to master her magical powers—and marry an equally powerful royal. But that means walking away from Finn, her handsome bodyguard who’s strictly off limits…and Loki, a Vittra prince with whom she shares a growing attraction.

Torn between her heart and her people, between love and duty, Wendy must decide her fate. If she makes the wrong choice, she could lose everything, and everybody, she’s ever wanted…in both worlds.

As a special gift to readers, this book contains a new, never-before-published bonus story, “One Day, Three Ways,” set in the magical world of the Trylle.

Review:

I really love this series. It gets better and better!! I love how Wendy is starting to grow into a "queen" into this novel. We also see more character development with Finn and even the handsome Loki. In Amanda Hocking's sequel in her Trylle series. In the first book we learn about Wendy's heritage and where she comes from but in Torn we drive right into learning about her kingdom and the sacrifices she will make. I really loved this book!

The beginning picks up right at the end of Switched which is good because we get to see Matt again after Rhys and her ran off away from the palace! It really developed right after there with so many secrets that Elora was keeping. But along with the truth from her mother there is always a reason why she is cold to her daughter. When Finn starts to deny his feelings towards her, she then starts to have a connection with Loki, a very powerful Vittra who is very helpful against her enemy.

The Vittra were very interesting, and the development in this book about them fills in the pieces of why they are trying to kidnap Wendy. With this story we found out secrets about who King Oren is and his goal of obtaining Wendy for power. As the story grows I was torn with who I wanted Wendy with because both men are soo cute and one will try to win her attention. I am looking forward to finding out what will happen next in this awesome trilogy even I was left torn!!

  3. I'm really enjoying this series and though the plot is a little predictable it is well written and a very quick read. My one complaint would be about the extended excepts from the next book...i think i have 30 pages left to read then instead i get a spoiler chapter for the next book. I also found a glossary for this series to be unnecessary and a little pretentious.
