I like evil character in my books too, a really well made one! Just read The Cowboy and The Vampire and it had a great villain Julius.

An evil villain comes off as just a blip on the radar without a back story. Plus, sometimes I actually like the bad guy more than the protag so it's important as an author to cover your basis!
